Mecha Leon is a boss faced in Astro Bot. He is the world boss of the Camo Cosmos, and must be accessed with 150 Bots.
Appearance[]
Mecha Leon is a large green colored robotic chameleon with his light green underbelly (Maybe later, he is most likely a lionfish and a SCP 169 deep sea leviathan fish monster.), that he changes to turns his two skin colors to a purple skin/rose red/pink underbelly, and a red skin/yellow underbelly, when the player is fighting him, he also have a curly tail, when his curly tail is hanging on the tree like a cryptid slide rock bolter the rock mountain whale monster/creature (It is called “Macrostoma Saxiperrumptus”.). He is described as punk-like, with a gold nose ring and an orange mohawk-like sharp spikes on his head to emphasize this. His eyelids are light gray and the iris of his eyes are fully magenta pink, because he has many orange lightning bolt-shaped stripes on his body and tail, a spinosaurus, dimetrodon, lancetfish, rockfish/stonefish, scorpionfish and sailfish long dorsal fin/spine sail-like orange sharp spikes on his back, a long pink tongue and a gradient red and orangish-brown dangling uvula in his mouth (Maybe, his uvula has glowing light blue/cyan as hanging lightbulb-like an anglerfish and viperfish esca/lure in his mouth, which he is barely a deep sea bioluminescence fish on the deep sea/ocean that he can catches the fish to eat them for attract prey, once he used his glowing light blue/cyan uvula in his mouth to attract prey in the dark depths of the deep sea/ocean.).
Boss Fight[]
Phase 1[]
Once Astro lands on the first platform, the three fireflies start floating above them until two of them fly away when one of them gets eaten by Mecha Leon via his tongue. Mecha Leon then climbs on the branch, faces the player with his tail hanging on the branch, and lets out a brief roar, starting the boss fight.
Mecha Leon begins by shaking the branch he is perched on, dropping durians and Mini Leons onto the field.
Once the Mini Leons are defeated, Leon breathes a double-layered stream of fireballs forward. The player must dodge the fireballs by running through or jumping over the gaps in the fire, which can be aided by using the Time Power-Up.
After the fire, Leon shoots out his tongue, hitting the platform in quick succession. The player must stop time when his tongue touches the platform, and climb his tongue to reach his uvula at the back of the tongue. The player must then hit Leon's uvula multiple times.
Phase 2[]
Mecha Leon, angered, spits Astro out and turns purple. He then leaps to a square platform farther away from Astro, and spits giant sawblades towards Astro from his new location. The player must reach Leon by stopping time and running across the sawblades as platforms.
Once the player reaches the second platform, Leon spits homing missiles at the player. The missiles can be dodged by stopping time before they hit Astro and running to another area, but the missiles destroy part of the platform.
Leon then drops more durians and enemies onto the platform, this time summoning Voltees and Mini Leons. Once the enemies are defeated, Leon spits another bunch of homing missiles at the player, then spits another stream of fireballs. The final stream is fired in a wavy pattern, requiring careful dodging of the fire. Leon ends by using his tongue attack again, requiring the player to hit his uvula again.
Phase 3[]
Mecha Leon spits Astro out and turns red. He leaps to a circular platform much further away than before, and fires sawblades again. The player must use the sawblades to reach a small platform halfway from Leon, then use another round of sawblades to reach the platform below him.
Once the player reaches Leon, he spits missiles onto the battlefield, destroying half of the platform.(The missiles are not locked on to Astro in the third phase as they target one of the two halves of the platform, so no need to stop time.) He uses his fire-breathing attack again, this time creating a double-wave pattern with his fireballs. Leon then summons more durians and enemies onto the platform, before firing more missiles to destroy the other half of the field.
With the player on a strip of metal platform, Leon will use his tongue attack again. After repeatedly hitting his uvula one last time, Leon will spit Astro out, and slump over the platform. The player must grab Leon's nose ring, pull it back as far as possible and release it, causing Leon to launch away from the branch he is perched on and fall into the forest below him.

Mecha Leon shares similarities with Mecha-Ladon from Rescue Mission, those being:
- Both have fast-paced music and boss fights.
- Both involve explosives and missiles.
- Both make you damage their mouth to continue the fight.
