Jab-Jabs are spiky bot enemies in the Astro Bot series.
Behavior[]
They approach Astro and if you get too close, they shoot out their spikes. Astro will be defeated if he touches the spikes; however, he is easily able to use his hover ability to defeat them. He can also punch them while their spikes are retracted. The Jab-Jab also has a red variant that will deploy its spikes first before then charging Astro. This type of Jab-Jab is distinguishable from a standard red Jab-Jab (both types of Jab-Jab only appear in Rescue Mission - in Playroom, only the standard red Jab-Jabs appear and in Astro Bot, only the angry Jab-Jab appears) from the dark red cloud that steams off its body. This type of Jab-Jab periodically gets tired, stops moving, and retracts its spikes. During this time, Astro can punch it. Alternatively, you can hover over them and destroy them while they're charging you.
