Cooling Springs is a location in Astro's Playroom. It is a beachfront resort where Bots can be found relaxing.
There are some interior areas with icy water, which Astro can navigate using floating ice blocks. The player can propel Astro's ice block by using fans, whose blades can be rotated directly into the DualSense controller. It consists of Bot Beach, Springy Spa, Frigid Foes, Hotel Hopalot and the entrance. Cooling Springs brings back artifacts from the PS3 era, as well as representing the blue X button. After clearing it, you’ll gain the PlayStation 3 Artifact and activate one of the symbols on the cube leading to 1994 throwback.
Levels[]
Bot Beach[]

The level starts off at Bot Beach, which, as the name implies, is a beach with many bots. You start above it and go down a slide. Here you can find enemies such as Knockers and Spiky Bots, which can be defeated by simple punches or hovering over them. Umbrellas that let you bounce off of them and a Kratos Bot can be found here. There are also wooden blocks towards the right side of the stage that make a parkour course. At the start, there’s also a very big slide to enter the stage. Follow the signs through a cloud of dust and you’ll find more robots chilling at a hot spring of sorts. Follow the lily pads and you’ll find yourself in the next area.
Springy Spa[]

Here, you enter the frog suit and get to hop around this stage. However, you are limited to a 2D camera. This will start making this stage reminiscent to the frog outfit used. Glass here can be broken by a fully charged spring jump from the frog suit, and the stage ends after a set of moving platforms. Then, you leave the frog suit and go down a slide, entering the next area.
Frigid Floes[]

After going down yet another slide, you’ll find yourself in the ice lair named Frigid Floes. There are two types of terrain here, ice and snow, and you are slightly faster on ice. There are also cracked ice platforms that crumble when you walk on them, although they do respawn. The same enemies from Bot Beach also appear here. The final section has the player blow into the microphone on the PS5 controller to activate a floating, tiny island of snow, where enemies even jump on to attack you.
Hotel Hopalot[]

The final stage of Cooling Springs is another frog level, this time with harder jumps, spikes, icy water and more lily pads. Just remember that glass breaks from fully charged frog jumps, and you’ll be fine.
